As Kapuso series, First Yaya airs its last stretch of episodes, GMA heartthrob, Alden Richards is optimistic that The World Between Us, his upcoming teleserye with Jasmine Curtis-Smith will perform well in July.
Despite comparisons to the top-rating Kapuso show, First Yaya, the actor-TV host, thinks that The World Between Us will also play fair amidst competition with the ABS-CBN’s longest-running primetime series and TV ratings’ A-list, Ang Probinsyano starred by Coco Martin.
“Actually parang wala sa isip ko to compete with other shows eh. Kung anong meron kami…actually lahat ng shows ng GMA ganun, pinaghihirapan, pinapaganda, para maging appealing sa audience,” Richards shared in the upcoming series’ press conference on June 24.
First Yaya which stars Sanya Lopez in the lead role, has been outstanding with its position as the top-list drama series on weekdays. The series played well as one of the Kapuso primetime series which aired alongside Ang Probinsyano on timeslot and ratings.
Now that it’s nearing its end, will The World Between Us be as excellent as First Yaya‘s performance?
“Wala kaming gustong pantayan na ibang shows. And we’re very happy kasi syempre sa GMA din ang First Yaya. And we’re very happy that it performed well. We are looking forward, hopefully, sa show na ‘to. All of us are very optimistic about the outcome of this teleserye. We’ll see pag umere na kami,” Alden expressed.
“And yun din ang trabaho namin. Pinapaganda namin ‘tong The World Between Us para maging kaaya-aya siyang panuorin,” he added.
Meanwhile, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is still on top of the trend despite not having its airing on the original free TV telecast. The longest-running action series is yet to announce its finale episode considering that the rival series First Yaya runs through its farewell scenes.
The World Between Us is about to air its pilot episode after First Yaya‘s goodbye. The question is – will this be the first Kapuso series to outlive ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano?
