Joaquin Domagoso, son of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, reacted to one of the most common misconceptions about Gen Z that claimed his generation can’t have clean fun.

In an interview for their upcoming comedy-musical variety show Flex, Domagoso said that older generations think that Gen Zs are “wild” when having fun.

“‘Yung parang generation namin, siguro na we can’t have clean fun na we’re all dancing gan’on, and it’s wholesome. Na hindi lang kami wild or whatever.”

He then clarified, “We’re just enjoying the music and the taste of our generation. There so much music, there so much lights sa show namin. It’s all just fun.”

Domagoso will host Flex along with Mavy Legaspi, Lexi Gonzales, and Althea Ablan as his co-hosts. Flex airs its first episode on GTV on July 4.

He also shared why GMA Network chose them as hosts of Flex.

“For sure, nakita nila ‘yung potential namin as artists sa p’wede naming gawin and these are potential to lead and to help the others, ‘yung mga kasama namin sa Flex.”

He also flexed his people-skills personality, which helps him relate with others in hosting the show.

“Siguro po, ipi-flex ko po ‘yung pagka-people personality ko po. Like how to relate to another person, and we really need it po sa show namin. Para maka-connect po ako sa mga iba-ibang kasama namin. And, of course sa Flex squad members na baguhan pa lang. For sure, mahihiya sila ng kaunti. I’ll make sure na they’ll feel at home, they’ll feel safe na family kami or whatever.”

Domagoso also shared how well the Flex hosts work together.

“Everybody works well together. Nakaka-enjoy kami lahat. Wala pong clashing of personalities na iniisip ng tao. Wala pong ganon. Kumbaga, parang family na po kami.”

As for his career, he recently worked on the Kapuso teleserye, First Yaya.

During the interview, Domagoso also highlighted his upcoming movie with Andrea Abaya.

“Actually po, my management is giving me the opportunity to lead in a movie called, Caught in the Act, which we just finished shooting two weeks ago.

“We are applying for the MMFF for the Metro Manila Film Festival pa lang and for Netflix.”
