Maine Mendoza bagged the best supporting actress award for her performance in the movie “My Bebe Love” at the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) held on Sunday night at the Kia Theatre, Araneta Center, Quezon City. She bested 7 other nominees including veteran actresses Nova Villa, Perla Bautista, etc.
But before the negatrons attack her, Maine Mendoza on her verified Twitter account, she posted, “Bago pa ako ibash ng sambayanan, mauuna na ako.. Bakit ako? Pero maraming salamat po! Magandang umaga sa lahat!”
In a report from GMA News, it says that “My Bebe Love” broke record for the highest first day gross for any Filipino film after garnering P60.5 million total ticket sales last December 25. “My Bebe Love” also won Festival 3rd Best Picture and Gat Puno Antonio Villegas Cultural Awards.
