When ABS-CBN shut down in May last year, TV Patrol is one of the shows that continued its airing via cable and live stream.
When the Network sealed a deal with Zoe TV, thus A2Z channel, it was anticipated that TV Patrol will air on the said channel.
However, it seemed that A2Z has no plans of adapting ABS-CBN’s longest primetime newscast because A2Z wants to build its original news program.
On June 22, Zoe TV posted a job advertisement on its facebook page. They are searching for a news reporter for the A2Z News Team.
Zoe TV is getting ready to produce its news show that will start airing this year.
Despite the rebranding, the A2Z faces a hard time catching up with a rating, and having its news program is expected to be the key to compete well with other networks.
Viewers get used to watching primetime news show before watching their favorite primetime TV series, and that is the pattern that A2Z is currently missing.
Considering the partnership of ABS-CBN and Zoe TV, why did the latter not include TV Patrol in its programming?
To note, the alleged biased reportage of ABS-CBN is one of the reasons why the government has grudges against the network.
Is this something that A2Z is avoiding?
