Viva artist Yassi Pressman finally addressed the real reason for her exit in the Kapamilya longest-running action-drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Pressman who became a household name through her role, Alyana in FPJAP said the lock-in taping restriction was the main factor that led to her decision to leave the TV series.
Pressman is set to host the Philippine version of the hit-UK game show Rolling In It Philippines.
During the virtual press conference for her upcoming game show on TV5, she said it will be impossible to do both FPJAP and Rolling In It due to schedule conflicts especially that the teleserye requires lock-in tapings.
“That happened din po kasi because of schedule.
“Dahil mahirap na rin po ituloy yung lock-in kaya po sobrang thankful ako sa Dreamscape [Ang Probinsyano producer], sa ABS-CBN, all of my bosses, especially kay Coco [Martin] na gumawa ng script at nangako siyang magkakaroon ng magandang exit si Alyana.
“I appreciate it, his appreciation na I just really appreciate that he appreciated me and yung impact ni Alyana sa kuwento.
Pressman’s character Alyana exited FPJAP on January 22 after gunfire between the Agila and the BlackOps.
She then asked viewers to continue supporting the teleserye, which air simultaneously over TV5 and A2Z on free TV.
“Sana po patuloy niyo silang suportahan, Ang Probinsyano, every week night po ‘yan dito rin po TV5.”
Meanwhile, Yassi is said to be the Rolling In It UK creators’ first choice for the hosting job.
“Thank you Rolling In It UK, Rolling In It Philippines, maraming-maraming salamat. I wanna say thank you to TV5, Cignal, everybody po.
“Thank you for trusting me. It’s an honor to be here.
“For me it’s such a big challenge but more than anything, excited na excited na ako na mapasaya yung mga contestant natin at mapasaya ko yung viewers.”
It will be her first hosting job on TV after years of acting in FPJAP. Rolling In It Philippines is set to premiere on June 5.
