Ex-PBB housemate Ella Cayabyab, 20, admitted that she wanted to enter the national beauty pageant even before she entered the PBB house. She joined PBB: Connect in December 2020 where she became the 11th evictee.
“Kahit ‘di pa po ako pumapasok ng PBB, or nung wala pa ako sa katayuan na ‘to, plan ko na po talaga,” she said.
Cayabyab said that she has already undergone some pageant training and just needed to get a degree from a four-year course in college.
“Since day 1, nag training na po ako kailangan ko lang pong maka-graduate ng 4-year course kase iba pa rin po talaga kapag meron kang degree tapos sasali ka sa national pageant,” she shared.
She already experienced the pageantry world as she competed in several beauty contests even before she entered PBB: Connect.
In 2019, she won Binibining Bondoc Peninsula, a title that her mom also won. In the same year, she also joined Mutya ng Pilipinas where she managed to make it to the Top 20 finalists.
Cayabyab said that the Beauty Queen she looks up to is Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
She said that the beauty queen possesses determination and a strong personality.
“Hindi po siya ‘yung basta-bastang babae na susuko lang na isang beses na matalo, dalawang beses na matalo. ‘Yung sa kanya po, try and try po hanggang sa makuha niya ‘yung panalo.”
