Julie Anne San Jose really appreciated the gesture of Maine Mendoza when they saw each other last Sunday, December 13, at the studio of ‘Sunday Pinasaya.’
Julie Anne is a mainstay of the comedy-musical show, while Maine was a special guest that day.
According to an article yesterday, the incident happened at the dressing room backstage, Maine approached and embraced Julie Anne after which she asked for apologies for all the bashing she has been getting from some fans of the AlDub loveteam, they both cried and hugged each other.
In a GMA Online News, San Jose said that she and Maine are ok, there no reason for them to fight at all. Before “Sunday Pinasaya”, they already saw each other at the ‘Walk of Fame’ ceremony, but they were not able to talk or greet each other.
When she was asked as to what is her reply to Maine after they have ‘kissed and embraced’, her reply was “Thank you.”
Looking back, Julie Anne and Alden Richards were former loveteam in some projects before Alden was paired with Maine.
“I am happy for their success. There is no bitterness between us, because there’s really no issue to begin with,” San Jose stated.
“Our main purpose here is to bring happiness and joy to our fans, that’s what I also do in my concert tours, to make the fans happy,” San Jose said.
This issue started with a tweet last December 7, when ‘Sunday Pinasaya’ director Rich Ilustre replied to the question of one netizen, one of his follower on Twitter asking whether Julie Anne is the real girlfriend of Alden.
Direk Rich’s answer was “Yup” to the fan’s question. But he later on said that he was so sleepy that time when he read the message and he could have thought that the word was “friend” instead of “girlfriend.” When he realized that he was wrong and read it otherwise, he immediately erased his message. But it was too late, the message has already become viral in social media and caused anger to the AlDub Nation fandom. Direk Rich on his part, asked for apologies to the personalities involved on the issue he has caused.
