From Pro-ABS-CBN shutdown to being a Kapamilya himself, ‘PBB: Connect’ alum Russu Laurente tweets support for the network

From being a Pro-ABS-CBN Shutdown, Russu Laurente has changed after joining Pinoy Big Brother: Connect.

Now, Laurente supports the Network with a tweet expressing his growth with the Kapamilya network.

In his twitter account, Laurente wrote “I’ve learned” with the hashtag, #IbalikAngABSCBN.

Accompanying his tweet is a post from ABS-CBN News recalling the first anniversary of the Network’s shutdown.

His other tweets also included a message of support, noting ABS-CBN’s creed of being in service of the Filipino.

In January 2021, Laurente admitted to Big Brother and his fellow housemates that he expressed support for ABS-CBN’s shutdown in 2020. 

After a heartfelt conversation between him and Big Brother, Laurente expressed his regrets over his actions and earned Big Brother’s forgiveness.

This revelation happened during the online clamor of celebrities and Netizens after his past tweets supporting the Network’s shutdown surfaced online, wherein Laurente received backlash from several online communities.

Now, Laurente is actively vlogging and streaming with his fellow PBB-Connect alumni Crismar Menchavez and Ralph Malibunas.
