Veteran journalist Lolit Solis claimed that Coco Martin can easily win if he were to run in the elections. She said that the actor can get the people’s votes because of his influence in his long-running action drama series Ang Probinsyano.
In her latest Instagram post, Solis mentioned that Coco can follow in the footsteps of Lito Lapid who was previously an action star before entering into the world of politics.
“Kung gusto ni Coco Martin na tumakbo sa election sa kahit ano pang posisyon, karapatan niya Salve. Iyon sinasabi na pinipilit siya ni Lito Lapid, kung tutoo , bakit hindi niya subukan. Si Lito Lapid ang puwede niyang gawin malaking example para magkaruon siya ng lakas ng loob. Mula sa pagiging stuntman, extra, action star, ngayon isa ng Senador,” Solis said.
“Kung nagawa ni Lito Lapid, bakit hindi magagawa ni Coco Martin ? Kung anuman ang dahilan ng mga tao na iboto si Lito Lapid iyon din ang puwede maging reason para manalo si Coco Martin,” she added.
Solis then explained that she is confident that Coco will win in the elections because of the actor’s fame and influence.
She said that the actor’s show, Ang Probinsyano contributes greatly to his influence on the people as the show is already airing for more than 5 years.
“Sa tagal ng Probinsiyano sa ere, magkaruon nga ng 2 Party List na parehong nanalo sa election, iyon mismo pang si Coco Martin ang hindi mananalo. Sureball na sa dami ng mga nanuod ng Probinsiyano, sa naging tatak nito sa utak ng manunuod , tiyak na matatandaan nila ang pangalan Coco Martin isulat sa balota,” she said.

Solis also noted that Coco is famous for having a good name saying, “Kahit sa mga kasamahan niyang artista mabango ang pangalan ni Coco Martin,
“Marami siyang naging kaibigan kaya siguro marami din ang nagbibigay lakas loob sa kanya. So kung gusto niya tumakbo, go go Coco Martin. Karapatan mo iyon.”
Meanwhile, there have been speculations that Coco Martin is planning to run for the 2022 elections.
In an article by Cristy Fermin on Phistar.com, the veteran columnist said that it’s almost a done deal for Coco to run for an elective position in the 2022 election.
According to her source, no amount of advice from his close friends can make the actor back out as he’s already determined to push through with his political plans.
