As pioneers in their own respective fields, these industry leaders will be facing the challenge of spearheading “One Run, One Philippines” by going through a 15km course in a running tour that will highlight the different rehabilitation projects of the ABS-CBN Foundation’s Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) campaign.
Participants will take off from Rockwell Center in Makati City, passing through Estero de Concordia along Penafrancia St., Estero de Santibanez along Atena St., Estero de Aviles along Buencamino St., until finally reaching Estero de San Miguel along Rafael St. They will all then head to the Quezon City Memorial Circle, where all runners for “One Run, One Philippines” will converge.
This run is an annual advocacy organized by the KBPIP as a fundraising and information campaign for the ongoing rehabilitation of the Pasig River. Launched in 2009, the campaign has steadily gained popularity, climbing from 23,000 participants in its first year to 87,000 participants in 2012.
Because of the impact created since its take-off, the campaign has earned the country a series of awards, including the Guinness World Record for the most participants in a race, the Bronze Anvil Award, the Anvil Award of Excellence awarded by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, and the Lopez Achievement Award for Corporate Image Building.
The “CEO River Warrior Run” will begin at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday (October 6).
