These negative promotions for the UNA senatorial candidate have been circulating and shared around social media platforms among netizens. The video of Alma Moreno awkward interview is now going viral and now considered as the “pambansang joke” for over a week at the expense of the councilor. This incident also resulted in propagating a specific hashtag just for this awkward interview #PrayForAlmaMoreno which is inspired by the recent international news headline hashtag #PrayForParis.
In a recent interview by GMA News, Alma Moreno aired her side and admitted being hurt by the bashing frenzy that is still going on around the internet. She said with teary eyes that the bashing incident has already affected her family and she felt insulted by the memes and negative reactions being hurled on her.
Last Nov. 19 in Sun Valley, Parañaque, Alma Moreno delivered a speech and expressed how much she is hurt by the insults she has been getting but still grateful for the support among her loyal friends and constituents.
Alma Moreno is very honest to admit that she is not as intelligent and well-versed as compared to other politicians, but this does not mean that she is less competent as a public servant.
