Singer Angeline Quinto proved that she is loyal to her home network ABS-CBN by staying with the network even without a franchise.
She previously expressed her firm loyalty to ABS-CBN and noted that she will continue to do so in the future.
The 31-year-old singer chose to stay with ABS-CBN according to her own will. She said that she stayed because of her loyalty and because the network continues to give her projects.
“Kaya ngayon na solid Kapamilya pa rin ako, e, talagang ako naman iyong nag-decide nito. Walang pumilit sa akin na dapat nandito pa rin ako. Ako iyong may gusto noon, buong-buo. Sabi ko nga sa kanila, may pagkakataon naman na may nagtanong sa akin kung bakit hindi ako lumipat sa ibang network,” she said.
“Ang tanging sagot ko lang sa kanila, patuloy naman akong binibigyan ng trabaho sa ABS-CBN, sa Kapamilya Channel,” she added.
Quinto has been with the ABS-CBN network for about a decade now. She came to prominence after winning the Kapamilya reality talent show Star Power: Sharon’s Search For The Next Female Pop Superstar in 2011.
To recall, even before the ABS-CBN lost its franchise, the singer revealed that she received an offer from another network, but she still chose to stay with ABS-CBN.
“Hindi matatawaran ng presyo ‘yung utang na loob ko sa ABS,” she said in an interview with Rider PH Studios.
Following the rejection of the ABS-CBN franchise bid in July 2020, she took to social media to express her frustration with Congress and even resorted to cursing online.
She wrote on Twitter, “Hindi aq perpektong tao. Nasasaktan po aq. Hihingi napo aq ng tawad sainyo. PUTANG INA! ginawa niyo sa aming lahat.”
