Shayne Sava and Abdul Raman are among the newest teen stars on the GMA network set to capture the hearts of Kapuso viewers.
Both are expected to be paired in the upcoming cultural drama series, Legal Wives. In an online interview with selected members of the media, both of them revealed even before the upcoming project, they had always paired up in StarStruck during their days as contestants.
“Noong ‘StarStruck’ po kasi we just kind of clicked. Talagang kami na po talaga ‘yung pinagpe-pair during ‘StarStruck.’ As the time went by, wala po kaming ginawang any workshops or what.”
Due to the constant pairing between them, this led to being close with each other.
“Naging close na talaga po kami tapos nag-click lang po talaga ‘yung ugali namin sa isa’t isa. Ang dami naming napagku-kuwentuhan,” Shayne recalled.
Abdul Raman, on the other hand, said that one of the things he loves about Shayne is her intelligence.
“I’m naturally attracted to people with substance. Ayun ‘yung una kong nakita with Shayne. She’s smart. She just likes to act dumb. ‘Yun ‘yung lagi kong inaasar sa kanya,” Abdul shared.
Fresh-faced young stars Abdul Raman and Shayne Sava are both the products of the seventh season of reality artist ‘StarStruck’ aired in 2019.
Shayne, who comes from Binangonan, Rizal, has emerged as the Ultimate Female Survivor. On the contrary, Abdul, who is from Marikina, reached the final 6 but was, unfortunately, eliminated from the show after a major drama challenge.
Shayne Sava also admitted that she had worries about working with Abdul before thinking that the actor might be ‘masungit.’
“Noong una kong kita sa kanya, feeling ko mysterious siya, mysterious type. During ‘StarStruck,’ ang dami niya pong kinukuwento–‘yung tungkol sa mga alien stuff, science stuff. Sabi ko, weird.
“Feeling ko din masungit siya noon kasi parang hindi siya masyadong namamansin sa iba tapos nage-English siya palagi. Sabi ko, hala hindi ko ito makaka-click,” she explained
But because of the chemistry that Sava has, she’s glad to find out that both of them can work together.
“Noong nag-usap na po kami, doon ko napansin na or doon ko nasabi na kaya niya pala sumabay sa trip ko. Ang dami pala naming same po na gusto,” she added.
Now that they’ve been on the show, they’re one of the GMA Network’s love teams to watch this year.
The GMA Telebabad show will feature them alongside industry heavyweights such as Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo and their ‘StarStruck’ Season 7 Judge Cherie Gil, Andrea Torres, Bianca Umali, Cherie Gil, Al Tantay, Bernard Palanca, Kevin Santos, Maricar De Mesa, Juan Rodrigo, and Irma Idlawan.
