On Wednesday, February 17, tarpaulins of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio are hanging in different parts of EDSA and other major roads.
Does this mean the woman Mayor is starting her Presidential campaign for 2022? Or is it her supporters who are urging her to run?
As a result, celebrities and Netizens reacted to the recent propaganda of Duterte-Carpio.
Singer-theater actress Bituin Escalante said on twitter that instead of using the money for election tarpaulins, vaccines should be the priority.
Andaming pera pang tarpaulin. Sana pang bakuna na Lang.

Even Macoy Dubs gave his reaction to the plastered tarpaulins of Sara.
The comedian does not welcome the idea of people wanting the Mayor to run for the 2022 elections.

Duterte-Carpio’s recent remarks against Vice President Leni Robredo on ‘honesty of public officials’, actor Alex Medina has something to stress that it was not Robredo who was demoralizing the Duterte administration, but the other way around.
Huh?

On February 16, despite Davao City in GCQ, authorities allowed having motorcades to urge the Davao City mayor to run for the 2022 presidential seat. Netizen @dumidyeypee questioned why the government-owned station was allowed to air such information. When an area is under GCQ, it prohibits mass gatherings such as motorcades.
Davao City is under GCQ and yet motorcades are allowed? And the government-owned station airing this because? https://t.co/z41zO1vflf

With the Philippine economy still failing, the tarpaulin of Duterte-Carpio still promotes ‘Sama tayo sa pagbangon’. This led Netizen Rey Valmores-Salinas to question the advertisement agreeing that the country is indeed in shambles.
“Sama tayo sa pagbangon” so you agree? Bagsak ang Pilipinas sa admin ngayon? pic.twitter.com/BAPKGk1ryf

On February 16, Economic Planning Secretary Karl Chua admitted that the country had income losses due to the lockdown amounting to 1.04 trillion pesos in 2020. Moreover, the gross domestic product (GDP) last year was the worst in Philippine history as it plunged to 9.5%. Hence, the Philippines is really in an ill-state because of the pandemic.
