One of ABS-CBN’s executives, Laurenti Dyogi, or most popularly known as Direk Lauren, revealed the reason behind the partnership between ABS-CBN and TV5 network.
Recently, it was announced that the Kapamilya network’s longest running musical variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” can now be seen on TV5 beginning this Sunday, January 24, 2021, at its usual noon time slot.
“FPJ: Da King”, which is a movie block showcasing the films of Fernando Poe Jr., will also begin to air on TV5 every Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm.
On Thursday, January 21, Direk Lauren wrote on his Twitter account that the said partnership between ABS-CBN and TV5 is for the Kapamilya network to reach more audiences.

Direk Lauren is ABS-CBN’s Entertainment Production Director and the Head Director for Pinoy Big Brother. He has been with the Kapamilya network for over 20 years.
Meanwhile, according to the president and CEO of Cignal and TV5, Robert P. Galang, the collaboration of the said networks marks the beginning of new partnerships.
“This collaboration between CIGNAL, TV5, Brightlight Productions, and ABS-CBN marks the start of greater cooperation among our various industry players and begins a new era of partnership,” he said.
“The airing of ASAP and FPJ’s movies on TV5 showcases the desires of TV5 and ABS-CBN to serve our viewers in the best way possible,” he added.
Galang further explained that he and his team are committed to giving their audiences a better and improved viewing experience.
