Following the viral meltdown of the Palace mouthpiece Harry Roque in his interview with CNN Philippines’ Pinky Webb, a netizen asked if there will be a chance that he will be interviewed next by ANC’s Christian Esguerra.
In a tweet by @monday_demos, the netizen teased the hard-hitting ANC anchor to guest Roque on his show so that he will be treated to more tough questions.
“I watched harry roques interview on @cnnphilippines with pinky webb discussing UP, vaccines, etc. Can we get him on @IanEsguerra ‘s show? Id love to see roque answering tough questions. Sige na sir @IanEsguerra haha”
Will try. But previous invitations were declined.

In response, Esguerra said they will try.
However, he also disclosed that there were already previous invitations to Roque which he declined.
“Will try. But previous invitations were declined,” said Esguerra.
Roque is currently at the center of social media topics after losing his cool in an interview with Pinky Webb. Roque was visibly irked when Webb asked about his reaction to UP MassComm Prof. Danilo Arao’s tweet regarding the DND’s unilateral abrogation of the UP-DND accord.
Meanwhile, Esguerra is known for his no-holds-barred and hard-hitting journalism. He has made several of his guests feel the hot seat with tough questions which most of the time catches them off guard.
Because of this, he was recently awarded the Marshall McLuhan Award for his “passion for the craft transcends new platform and whose proficient mastery to discover and explain the facts restricts the space for disinformation to thrive”.
And because of that also he caught the ire of DDS who red-tagged him using his 2018 interview with CPP founder Joma Sison.
ALERT! Some netizens starting to red tag @ANCALERTS anchor and 2020 Marshall McLuhan fellow @IanEsguerra just because he has a photo with CPP founder Joma Sison.
Please spread the word to stop this insanity. 🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻🙅🏻♂️
