The presentation of the senatorial slate for the Poe-Escudero tandem at Club Filipino today, October 29, turned out to be a star-studded affair.
The senatorial line-up alone included three candidates who are currently active in showbiz or have been part of the industry at one point in their lives. Running for the senatorial position are Edu Manzano, Francisco “Isko” Moreno, and incumbent Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Senator Grace Poe and her running mate Francis “Chiz” Escudero dubbed their party as “Partido Galing at Puso”.
Among the supporters of the senatorial slate is showbiz personality Ciara Sotto, who attended to show support to her dad, Sen. Tito Sotto. She was with her siblings Gian, and Diorella.
Tito Sotto’s brothers, Val and Maru, were also present. Only Vic Sotto wasn’t there among the brothers who are all part of the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Deal or No Deal celebrity host Luis Manzano also attended the affair. He was with his half-siblings Addie and Enzo Manzano.
Luis Manzano said in an earlier interview that the family was surprised that his father Edu Manzano will run for senator this coming 2016 elections. But when they learned about it, they are giving him their full support all the way.
From the looks of it, Luis would be the busiest among the Manzano siblings because he will be supporting both his father Edu Manzano and his stepfather, Sen. Ralph Recto. Senator Recto is also included in the senatorial slate of Partido Galing at Puso.
Luis will have to find time to support the Congressional bid of his mother, Governor Vilma Santos, too. She filed her candidacy as House Representative for the lone district of Lipa.
The other senatoriables in the line-up presented by the Poe-Escudero tandem include former senators Richard Gordon and Juan Miguel Zubiri; House Representatives Neri Colmenares, Sherwin Gatchalian, Roman Romulo and Samuel Pagdilao; Atty. Lorna Kapunan and Susan Ople.
