The action idol is back! Robin Padilla will be signing a new contract with ABS-CBN management one of these days. After being away with Kapamilya since 2013, the Bad Boy of the Philippine cinema will continue to spread the action vibes with the leading network in the country.
Padilla left ABS-CBN on 2013 when his contract expires and decided to move to GMA Network where his wife Mariel Rodriguez is. Upon transfer, he had a cameo role with Kapuso’s “Adarna.” Soon after, he transferred to TV5 Network and hosted “Talentadong Pinoy” and starred in a sitcom with his siblings, Rommel Padilla and BB Gandanghari, “2/12 Daddies.”
However, due to TV5 Network’s financial struggle this year, the entertainment department was transferred from Ms. Wilma Galvante to Viva Executive Vic Del Rosario, who is now the Chief Strategist for Entertainment.
According to news, this might be the reason for Binoe’s decision to transfer since, Galvante is the person he talked when he moved to Kapatid Network.
For the past 2 years, Robin had 3 movies from Viva, Star Cinema, and Philippians Films. Outside showbiz, he is an active spokesperson for ‘Movement Against Malaria’ of the Department of Health. He’s been doing that advocate since 2004. Aside from acting, he also loves producing films.
His last project with ABS-CBN are “Toda Max” and “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw.” Although no clarification yet what project will be provided for Robin, surely all his supporters are happy right now that their action idol is back home.
