Following the release of shadowy single “Don’t Save Me” back in March, Brighton born Chxrlotte explores a different facet of her sound with “Lullaby” – a soft and soothing track for the midnight hours.
Filled with shimmering piano melodies and midnight blue hues, Chxrlotte’s vocals are at the forefront of the piece as she leads you into a deep sleep. Tranquil and undisturbed, “Lullaby” is the perfect antidote to settle your thoughts.
“Having a lullaby to listen to when I go to sleep is something I’ve always wanted from my favourite artists”, Chxrlotte offers. “I wanted the song to be as comforting as possible. What I find comforting is looking up at the sky and realising that in the grand scheme of things, none of the things I’m worried about are important, and everything is going to be okay”.
The 22 year singer/songwriter first gained public attention after writing a song about the comedic fantasy series Good Omens. Picked up by the actors and producers of the show and shared widely across their socials, “Come WIth Me” has since gained over 800,000 streams on Spotify to date. Inspired by the jagged pop of Billie Eilish and the unconventional musical stylings of Twenty One Pilots, Chxrlotte pulls threads from these rich array of influences to create a colourful soundscape of her own.
With more music soon to follow, “Lullaby” showcases Chxrlotte’s vocal prowess and her refreshingly candid lyricism.
“Lullaby” is set for release November 27th.
