It seems the rumors might be true that John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo have a good chance to have a reunion project under Brightlight Productions.
According to PhilStar’s news article, former Congressman of Negros Occident, Cong. Albee Benitez confirmed that he and John Lloyd talked about the projects his production company is setting up.
“Nag-uusap kami I think pinag-iisipan of course ni John Lloyd na mag-comeback.”
Benitez even revealed that they are already pitching concepts to the two and he has also met several times with Cruz, but there’s still no final plan for the said reunion project.
“Well, wala pang final so nag-uusap pa lang, exploring different possibilities and offers,” Benitez said
But what should we expect? Benitez revealed that they’ve open different genres that the two actors could work on.
“May possibility na sitcom, drama, movie and, all those things. Hinihinitay na lang natin ‘yung magiging final decision.
“Syempre next year magde-decide siya. Nag-e-entertain na siya ngayon so by next year makikita nating back to work na siya.”
Benitez also said that the most important thing is that they will agree on the same choice, and the signing of the contract will only be secondary.
“You know sa amin naman, ‘yung pirmahan really secondary. Kailangan munang magkasundo.”
Recently, blockbuster director Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina said that the reunion movie of John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo should be shot this year but was delayed due to the pandemic.
The blockbuster director added that he is not sure when the reunion movie of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo will continue.
“Yun ang naka-line up sa akin during the pandemic, as in, yun ang mini-meeting namin lagi,”
“Until medyo tumatagal po kami, kasi siyempre, hindi namin matantiya yung ano, e, yung pandemya. Tapos may creative process pa po iyan. Inabutan na ng hindi available si Lloydie.
“So, may mga prior commitments na siya. So, na-put on hold. Binigyan ako ng bago. Ganoon din, laging may problema.”
