ABS-CBN has been shut down on free TV since May following the expiration of its franchise and the cease and desists order from the National Telecommunications Commission. The network experienced a bigger blow after the Cayetano-directed 70 congressmen voted to reject the Kapamilya network’s franchise application in July.
Since then, ABS-CBN has been bleeding financially prompting the network to start a painful retrenchment program.
However, in October Zoe Broadcasting Network agreed to a block time agreement which brought back several Kapamilya shows on analog free TV.
Although ABS-CBN is now lording the digital landscape with their Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook, free TV reach is still far more powerful in terms of ad placement.
And with A2Z’s availability on digital TV boxes, ABS-CBN’s reach will become wider now as the country is estimated to have 10 million digital box users already.
Meanwhile, writer Darla Sauler also shared the good news saying loyal Kapamilya viewers can now watch A2Z on TV Plus.
“Mapapanood niyo na ang kapamilya shows – A2Z channel sa inyong TV Plus! Please share/retweet para mas marami ang may access sa impormasyon lalo na ngayon. Here’s how:”
