Kapamilya star Angel Locsin responded to a netizen who left a negative comment about her after she posted her concern for all the victims of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.
On Thursday, November 12, the actress posted on her Instagram account a photo showing the emergency numbers that people can contact amidst the typhoon. She showed her good intention by saying that she is praying that all the people would be safe from harm.
“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #Rolly & #Ulysses. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure,” she wrote.
She talked about Filipino resiliency saying that people will be able to overcome any challenges that they would encounter especially during calamities. She also reminded the people to always take care of each other.
“Our resilience will always be greater than any calamity! Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safe mga kababayan ko,” said Angel.

The 35-year-old actress showed her concern for the safety of the typhoon victims which garnered praises from netizens. However, one netizen decided to politicize Angel’s statements by linking her to the New People’s Army (NPA) which is a group that fights against the government.
“Kawawa din yung mga kabataan nasa bundok na narecruit ng npa,” the netizen wrote.
The comment caught the attention of Angel and she promptly responded.
“Oo kawawa talaga na naiipit ang kabataan. Anyone na ginagamit ang kabataan para sa sariling agenda ay kasuklamsuklam,” she said.
She said that even the netizen who slammed her is using children for personal gain saying, “Kahit ikaw sa propaganda mo ginagamit mo ang kabataan.
“Ginagamit mo rin ako at mga kapwa ko artista sa agenda mo that’s why nakabantay ka sa page ko para mag comment,
“I doubt kung ang kaligtasan ba talaga ng mga kabataan ang hangad mo o manggulo lang,” she said.
The actress explained that the netizen should file a formal complaint to the court if what he claims is true. She noted that people should focus on helping the typhoon victims in these times instead of trying to pull each other down.
“pumunta ka sa korte kung totoong may malasakit ka at mabigyan ng katarungan ang mga pamilyang nawalan,” she said.
“Ngayon, ito ang panawagan para sa mga nasalanta at nasasalanta ng bagyo, hindi ba sila importante enough sayo para idisregard sila at isingit ang comment mo sa panahong ito?
“Umayos ka,” she added.
It can be recalled that Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. of the National Task Force to End Local Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) accused Angel of being a part of NPA.
Parlade mentioned Angel’s name along with her sister Ella Colmenares who was claimed to be a part of the Communist Party of the Philippines, New People’s Army, and National Democratic Front.
Angel Locsin is known for being active in relief efforts in disaster-stricken areas in the Philippines. People dub her as the ‘real-life Darna’ for her efforts in helping the Filipino people especially during times of need.
Some of the inspiring acts of the actress include donating blood, participating in charitable works for the Philippine Red Cross, and delivering relief goods to victims of calamities among others.
Just recently, she donated a total amount of 1 million cash aid for people who are affected by the typhoon Rolly. She launched an online assistance initiative where people could receive P1000 each via GCash given a certain guideline.
