With the news of ABS-CBN’s free TV return through Zoe TV block time deal, retrenched employees of the media giant reacted via Twitter to the report that their home network is back on the air.
Reporter Kevin Manalo noted that a lot of viewers of ABS-CBN are happy with the network’s return.
A lot of viewers will be happy! Congrats to ‘A2Z’ (Very witty name I might add) https://t.co/9BXBVXvEYw

He also hopes that ABS-CBN will bring back educational programs and cooking shows.
I hope they bring back educational programs and cooking shows. ☺️ Nakaka-miss kaya yung Sineswkela, Mathinik etc. For a cooking show, Ms. Judy Ann Santos could certainly make a good one!

“Not really surprised! Based on experience, I can confidently say that ABS-CBN is a company which keeps everything planned from Plan A to Z,” said Jon via Twitter.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya writer Josiah Antonio expressed how emotional he is for ABS-CBN’s comeback to free TV. He also tweeted that despite their differences in politics, his mom was also teary-eyed that the media giant is back on the air.
“So, kakatapos lang ng work. Tas kausap ko Mom ko and sinabi ko na balik free TV na ibang shows ng ABS-CBN. Ngumiti lang siya tas teary eyed siya. ‘Di ko napigilan maiyak sa kwarto after. ‘Yung laban ng network laban din ‘yun ng pamilya ko kahit ‘di kami parehas ng pulitika,” Josiah narrated through Twitter.

Due to the denial of their franchise and shutdown, ABS-CBN had to retrench its employees in August. Some of these retrenched employees had to move to different companies to support their families. For instance, Nick Villavecer has now moved to Rappler as a Multimedia Producer.
