All roads led to Laguna today as ABS-CBN staged its grand gathering of stars at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan City.
The indoor arena that houses 6,500 people served as the venue of the much-awaited ASAP 20 live telecast which was part of the “Kapamilya, Thank You! Biyaheng Binan” tour.
ASAP 20 regulars were joined by special guests who entertained a huge crowd that turned up for the colorful celebration. Seen during the show were Kapamilya heartthrobs Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Rayver Cruz together with “Kapamilya Gold” and “Primetime Bida” leading men Anjo Damiles, Jerome Ponce, Joshua Garcia, Diego Loyzaga, Albie Casino, and Richard Yap who made the female fans giddy with excitement.
Teen King and Queen Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla with Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion were also on hand to add excitement to the lively song and dance numbers. They were part of the “Pangako Sa ‘Yo Thank You Day” for avid viewers.
Not to be forgotten are the ASAP 20 world-class singers Jed Madela, Erik Santos, and Concert King Martin Nievera who also wowed the audience with their spectacular numbers. They were joined by the casts of “Ningning”, “Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita”, and “All of Me.”
“Dance Floor Princess” Maja Salvador and “King of the Gil” Enrique Gil fired up the stage with a new dance craze that will surely top social media trends.
During the event, ABS-CBN also launched its own HD channel exclusive for SKY and Destiny cable subscribers. With the SKY Cable HD Digibox, ABS-CBN set the bar as the first free-to-air channel to broadcast in HD 24/7.
Kapamilya viewers from Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan can now watch their favorite Kapamilya shows in high-definition format on Channel 167, while solid Kapamilya fans from Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Baguio will enjoy a better viewing experience on Channel 700.
