Netizens were hooked on the posted tweet of Broadway singer Lea Salonga where she said, “I’m fine with [anything that is] superficial, but are we only up to this?”
Some netizens arrived at the conclusion that the singer is referring to the Twitter’s most-discussed and fast-rising loveteam AlDub. Fans came into defending their favorite noontime loveteam, saying they disapproved her stand.
Twitter user @MsGhailSilverio asked Salonga to clear things out if she is facing some ‘deep’ problems but “The Voice” coach replied, “No, that’s not it. I mean, there’s also room for deeper thinking. That’s all.”
Though the 44-year old singer made her stand about deeper thinking, she admitted that she also caught herself laughing at small petty things.
In her reply to @FredRockz she higlighted the importance of balance in life , “We all need balance. All fun is bad. All depth is bad. We have to have a healthy helping of everything.”
The singer reiterated that her post is not intended for anyone. Known for being straightforward, she said she isn’t hitting any person and be more direct if there’s any.
Again, the singer, being misquoted due to her post, told everyone to end the ‘bashing issue’ being thrown at her.
