As Thai BL series have become so popular, the country has produced several of its own. Ken Chan was offered to do such a role but he turned it down.
At the mediacon for his upcoming movie ‘My First and Always’ with love team partner Rita Daniela, the actor revealed his reason for declining.
According to Ken, GMA network wants to improve the #RitKen love team so the offer to appear in a BL series was refused.
Ken also top-billed the teleserye Destiny Rose where he was transgender woman which would be a conflict if he will play a unique character in a BL series.
“Actually, may nag-inquire na po. Kaya lang, ayaw talaga ng GMA Network and Artist Center because nanggaling na po ako sa Destiny Rose before. So, mahirap pong makawala sa ganoon pong character.”
The actor admitted he finds it hard to shake off the Destiny Rose persona.
Even though the series ended, he still feels the impact of his role in Destiny Rose, where endorsements were even offered to him but he needs to act like his role in the teleserye,
