Last September 17, 2015 (Thursday), The Philippines’ Queen of Bossa Nova, Sitti has again released renditions of heartfelt, relaxing and mellow compilation of songs into an album entitled “The Bossa Nova Trio”.
The press launch was held at Chef Alab Tatung in Tomas Morato. Sitti performed three songs from her album for the press, bloggers and fans. Her signature Bossa Nova style has been touching the hearts of music lovers, with Sitti celebrating her 10 years in the music industry, she has now stepped on the next milestone of her life, as a married wife to businessman and triathlete, Joey Ramirez.
Sitti shared also her experiences now that she is married, the changes of her life and how it affects her music. On her latest album “The Bossa Nova Trio”, featuring the acoustic guitarist, Erskine Basilio and percussionist, Diego Martinez, was recorded in a live nature setting in Rizal. She has shared their rare experiences on the recording process, capturing the natural sounds of the surroundings including the breeze, chirping of birds and even some dogs barking in the background. The album encapsulates 12 tracks, combined from cover songs, live renditions of old originals and new carrier single entitled ‘Ligaya’.
The 12 tracks include ‘Girl From Ipanema’, ‘Tattooed On My Mind’, ‘Para Sa Akin’, ‘Ligaya’, ‘To Forget You’, ‘All I Ever Wanted’, ‘Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw’, ‘Answers’, ‘I Want It That Way’, ‘La La Means I Love You’, ‘Sunday Morning’ and ‘Pais Tropical’.
