GMA Artist Center star Ruru Madrid defended himself from a netizen who questioned his ‘new’ fashion style.
In an Instagram post, Ruru posted a photo of himself in a vintage-like outfit with a caption, “Escape the ordinary”.
A netizen then commented to question this alleged ‘new’ fashion style of the actor.
“Hindi ganyan pormahan mo noon, anyare? HAHAHAHHAHAHA feel na feel amputs,” the netizen said.
[That’s not how you dress before, what happened?]
Ruru poked fun at the netizen and replied, “Ano ba pormahan ko noon? Paano ba dapat magdamit?”.
[What is my fashion style before? How should I dress?]
Lately, the fans noticed how the fashion style of Ruru evolved from usual shirt with a blazer on top, paired with jeans to a more trendy and stylish fashion statement that’s somehow aligned with the ‘KPop’ fashion.

The actor also made noise online recently, when KPop fans compared him to the famous KPop artist Tae-hyung or “V”. This is when he posted an all-black outfit similar to the outfit of the said Korean artist.
With his new fashion style, he is now labeled as the Tae-hyung of the Philippines by the fans.
Ruru made his breakthrough in the showbiz industry with Protégé: The Battle For The Big Artista Break, in 2012.
He has played a lot of roles on TV but his role in the remake of Encantadia as Ybarro earned him the Best Male Actor award at the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television.
Ruru also explored the world of music as he released his first single “Nawawala”, in 2019.
