Maja started her career in showbiz through minor and supporting roles in different TV series like It Might Be You, Nginiiig!, and Spirits. She has also made appearances in ASAP since 2003.
She also portrayed roles in Maalaala Mo Kaya, where she was nominated as Best Single Performance by an Actress for an episode entitled “Regalo”.
Maja appeared in her first film, Sukob, a horror movie, that caused her to receive recognition including a Best Supporting Actress award.
In 2009, Maja starred in her first leading role in Nagsimula sa Puso where she was paired with Coco Martin.
Maja also became known for her roles in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, where she has paired again with his first leading man Coco Martin; Ina, Kapatid, Anak, where she won Best Drama Actress for her role as Margaux; the controversial love affair series, The Legal Wife and Bridges of Love. She once again starred with Coco in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano before leaving the series later on.
In 2017, she gained a major breakthrough in her showbiz career because of her powerful role as Ivy Aguas and Lily Cruz in Wildflower.
Maja also ventured into the music industry where recorded two albums entitled Believe and Maja in Love.
