Pokwang slammed vlogger Baninay Bautista for a vlog that said she was COVID-positive. What the vlogger failed to mention was that it was a late upload and that she had already been cleared of COVID.
Pokwang had panicked because she recently met with Baninay and she has her young daughter and her 80-year-old mother living with her, both of whom are very vulnerable to the disease.
Pokwang claims that this vlog post is nothing but clickbait to gain more views on her YouTube channel.
“Hoy Baninay wag mong pagkaperahan yang clickbait mo para lang dumami views mo!” via @pokwang27.
In a Twiter post, YouTuber Matt Nicolai explained that the video was shot last July 21, 2020, and that Baninay had already tested negative for COVID-19.
“Yesterday, August 18, 2020, Baninay Bautista and Bont Bryan uploaded their vlog about being tested positive of COVID-19. To clarify the timelines on their vlogs, Baninay shot the video last July 21, 2020, while Bont’s vlog was filmed last July 27, 2020.” via @SiMattNicolai.
“Lastly, Baninay Bautista and Bont Bryan got tested again last August 2, 2020 (Baninay), August 4, 2020 (Bont Bryan) after following all the Quarantine measures mandated by the — (7/9)” @SiMattNicolai.
“local government health office and received their swab test results last August 7, 2020 (Baninay) August 14, 2020 (Bont). In addition to that, both of them went to a 1-week self-quarantine after receiving their NEGATIVE swab test result. (8/9)” via @Si MattNicolai.
“In her succeeding vlogs, you will see how the local government provided assistance to Baninay until she was discharged from the quarantine facility after being tested NEGATIVE.” via @SiMattNicolai.
Bont Oropel, Baninay’s boyfriend, replied to Pokwang’s Twitter post stating that they informed the game show’s production staff of their condition and that they are going through a lot right now after his father passed away due to pneumonia suspect of COVID-19.
To which, Pokwang responded with a message to all vloggers and she sends her condolences to Oropel’s Family.
Baninay posted a video on her YouTube channel last August 18, 2020, claiming that she tested positive for COVID-19. She later updated her post stating that the video was filmed on July 21, 2020.
