Mark Bautista showed his gratitude to one of his supporters who defended his looks. He thanked the fan for defending him from his friends who said that Mark didn’t look good on television.
The fan said that he would always defend Mark from his friends whenever they are watching his show ‘All-Out Sunday’ saying that the artist looks good if only they were to meet him in person.
“Pag nanunuod kami ng ALL OUT SUNDAY at kumakanta ka, Pinagatanggol kita sa mga friends ko na gwapo ka sa personal na nakaka starstruck ka in person. Hindi lang tlga ganun ka epek ang registry mo sa tv. Hehehe,” the fan wrote.
Mark thanked the fan on his Twitter account and said that he is already used to comments about him being not so good looking on-screen even back when he is still a beginner in the showbiz industry.
He also said that he is thinking about conducting more meet-and-greet events with his fans so that they will get to appreciate him and his looks more.
“Sorry natawa lng ako pero thank you sa pagtanggol. lagi ko to naririnig kahit nung naguumpisa pa ako…siguro meet and greet nlng ako lagi,” Mark wrote.
Mark did not take the negative about him to heart. He does not let the criticisms about him define who he is as an artist.

Mark Bautista is part of GMA’s variety show ‘All-Out Sunday’ which is hosted by Alden Richards. The show premiered on GMA Pinoy TV, GMA’s pay television channel, on January 5, 2020.
Recently, Mark created a buzz online when he posted a shirtless photo of himself on his Instagram account. But what stirred the people more is the comment of his fellow Kapuso star Derrick Monasterio who said that Mark was ‘yummy.’
Mark already revealed his true gender preference back in 2018 saying that he is a bisexual. His bisexuality may be the reason why netizens speculated malice in Monasterio’s comment of ‘yummy po.’
Some people mentioned that it was inappropriate for a guy, especially a fellow Kapuso artist like Monasterio, to make comments about Mark Bautista’s physique. They said that they would better understand it if the comment came from women.
Others also said that ‘yummy’ comment was just okay because they know that Bautista and Monasterio are close friends that are only making fun of each other. They called the people who see malice in the comment as close-minded for they make an issue out of everything.
Mark has already deleted the said post from his Instagram account. He wanted the people to stop talking about his Kapuso friend’s comment and making an issue about it because he only wanted to share a photo of his new studio.
Mark also caught the attention of the netizens when he was able to raise money for mass testing for COVID-19. He sold the paintings that he painted himself to raise about P410,000. He said that the funds earned will be sent to Shop and Share which is a celebrity auction for coronavirus mass testing fundraiser organized by Kapamilya stars Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, and Dimples Romana.
Mark Bautista studied architecture but he decided to pursue his career in music. He came to prominence when he won first runner-up next to Sarah Geronimo in the reality talent show Star for a Night.
He was a regular performer in ABS-CBN’s ASAP and a host in Search for the Star in a Million in 2004 until he signed a contract with the GMA network in 2010. He became a part of the performers in Party Pilipinas which is a variety show in GMA.
His first album was Dream On which was released in 2005. The other albums that he released were Every Now and Then (2007), I’ll Be the One (2008), Nagmamahal, Mark Bautista (2010), and The Sound of Love (2013). Mark is currently a part of GMA’s Sunday show All-Out Sundays which is available worldwide through GMA Pinoy TV.
