Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero has blasted Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin over her statement of support for ABS-CBN.
During the noise barrage rally at the ABS-CBN compound on Saturday, July 18, Angel made a passionate statement about her support for the embattled Kapamilya network.
“Wala akong shares sa ABS-CBN, wala akong kontrata. “Pero itong mga taong ‘to, sila yung nagbigay ng trabaho sa akin, sila yung tumulong sa akin nung walang-wala ang pamilya ko,” Angel said.
That statement caught the ire of Doctolero who took to social media to blast Angel.
In her post, Doctolero said she admired the courage of Angel to fight for her network but called her out at the same time for being too exaggerated with her statements.
According to the Kapuso writer, Angel earned so much during her stint in GMA contrary to Angel’s claim that it was ABS-CBN who helped their family when they are “walang-wala sa buhay”.
“A e I admire your courage po pero huwag exag. Kumita ka ng sobrang laki sa GMA. Malaki ang net worth mo nung lumipat ka sa kabila. Sa totoo lang tayo ha.”

Doctolero’s comment reached Angel’s fiance Neil Arce who then defended the actress.
Arce answered all the allegations hurled by Doctolero whom he called as hungry for attention.
She let go of her shares, that she hasn’t even paid for, waaaaay before ABS shutdown. You can check 🙂

Meanwhile, the issue about Angel’s share of stocks with ABS-CBN has also sparked an online discussion with her critics accusing her of lying since her name appears as one of the company’s stockholders in its public listing to the PSE.
For the prople your azz. Youre so lawless. All you think and say are nothing but lawlessness and lies. Yeah, you have stocks in ABS, telling abt no stocks? Freaking hypocrite thats why youre getting so plump from hypocricy pic.twitter.com/JLFGNpJlSC

However, one netizen explained the issues surrounding Angel’s stocks.
According to the netizen, people should know the difference between Issued Shares and Subscribed Shares.
The netizen explained that what Angel has is subscribed shares, thus her statement that she doesn’t have stocks is true.
“Pero ang tawag sa shares ni Angel ay ‘SUBSCRIBED SHARES.’ Malinaw na blank na Issued shares at may amount sa Subscribed shares. Ipinaliwanag niya ang pagkakaiba ng dalawang shares. Nakalagay sa post, “Issued share capital is the value of shares actually held by investors while subscribed share capital is the value of shares investors have promised to buy when they are released. Another one, as per www.money-zine.com’s explanation ‘once the subscriber has made final payment, the company will issue to them the common or preferred stock.’ Kapag natapos na niya bayaran ang payable period, don pa lang maiissue sa kanya.”
“Sa kaso raw ni Angel ay “5 years to pay” ang shares nito. Pero nakakalahati pa lang siya (if tama ako), at late last year or early this year hindi na niya binayaran. Ni let go na niya ito. So ano ibig sabihin? Hindi pa sa kanya ang shares na yun. At hindi na magiging sa kanya dahil hindi niya natapos ang 5 years. Next time, research din bago bash.”
Angel Locsin’s social media admin on Sunday, July 19 also posted the explanation on her Facebook page to finally settle the issue.
“Angel Locsin has already spoken about this and we will just reiterate what she has already long asserted. The shares she has with ABS-CBN are called ‘subscribed shares’ na naging part ng privilege offer to employees. To set the record straight, these shares were not completely paid for—in short, hindi po na-claim o naibigay kay Angel. Ganun lang po ka-simple yun.”
“You can accuse her all you want but Angel Locsin is doing all that she can to use her platform and her voice to speak for the less privileged Kapamilyas. Unlike her, their future has been made uncertain dahil nawalan sila ng kabuhayan.”
“Wala na ring kontrata si Angel sa ABS-CBN pero pinipili pa rin niyang magsalita at magmamalasakit.”
