Singer-songwriter TJ Monterde bared the reason he had to postpone his wedding with his fellow singer-fianée, KZ Tandingan.
They have been in a relationship since January 2015.
The couple got engaged last December 2019 and was supposed to wed this year. Because of the worsening spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines and the present community quarantine, TJ revealed that he and KZ decided to reschedule their wedding for next year.
In his statement to PUSH, the singer said that flights and the venue are still unavailable now.
He shared that 70% of their plans are all set now and that they started planning for the wedding since January, crediting KZ as the “planner”.
TJ and KZ are now mulling over getting legally wed this year aside from the big event set for next year.
The couple also canceled the release of some of their songs which were originally planned to be launched on their wedding day.
An exception to these, TJ released his new digital hit single “Puhon” written by himself via PolyEast Records.
Aside from being written as a love story, the song also brings positivity as we begin to cope with the ‘new normal’, said TJ .Currently, Puhon’s lyric video has already reached 1 million views on YouTube after its debut in May 2020.
