Rumors about Kapamilya actress Julia Montes withdrawing from doing Burado with Nadine Lustre, Zanjoe Marudo, Paulo Avelino, and Thai celebrity Denkhun Ngamnet are currently circulating online.
Burado was set to be the ‘grand comeback’ of the 25-year-old star after taking a break from showbiz limelight for quite some time. This was also set to be her first project with Nadine which garnered positive feedback from both of their fans who couldn’t wait to see their stan artists acting together on their TV screens.
As earlier announced, the cast includes Carmi Martin, Angel Aquino, Joko Diaz, Ina Raymundo, Lotlot de Leon, Matet de Leon, Raymond Bagatsing, McCoy de Leon, Javi Benitez, and Kokoy de Santos. It was going to be shot in several international locations, including the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, and India.
Apparently, work on the series already started and it was able to do location-shooting in Thailand before the lockdown happened. Now, the project will resume taping along with other on-going projects and existing shows on the Kapamilya channel.
However, a local online entertainment column alleged that Julia has backed out from the series because she didn’t want to be “locked-in” during tapings, which is among the rules and regulations for TV productions under the ‘new normal.’
This rumor has been met with disappointment from fans who were excited to see the ‘Asintado‘ star back again on television. Some who were also looking forward to the collaboration of Julia and Nadine in what seems to be an action-packed woman-led series were saddened with the rumors, too as they believe that the former fits in the role alongside the latter. Moreover, some fans are waiting for Julia to confirm or deny the rumors before reacting to it.
Sources also alleged that aside from Julia, Nadine has already quit the show, too.
If this is true, then who will replace Nadine and Julia that would be deserving of the roles vacated by the two outstanding actresses?
Meanwhile, Ina Raymundo has formally withdrawn herself from the cast of the upcoming series, due to the fact that she cannot be “locked-in” for long and leave her children unattended especially that her husband is also working.
Mara Hautea Schnittka otherwise known as Julia Montes entered showbiz at a very young age. She was known for portraying “Clara del Valle/David” in the remake of the longest-running classic soap opera Mara Clara, a drama series about teenage sibling rivalry, opposite her co-star and off-screen best friend Kathryn Bernardo in 2010.
Montes made her film debut in the 2011 family drama Way Back Home, alongside Bernardo which marked their first film project together.
Some films she starred in include The Reunion, The Strangers, and A Moment in Time.
After her action-packed TV series ‘Asintado’ concluded, Julia took a break from the showbiz limelight and flew to Germany, which based on earlier reports, was to spend time with her biological father.
However, leaving the country fired up rumors that she was pregnant with ‘boyfriend’ Coco Martin’s child.
Coco and Julia’s management has previously denied the rumors but the speculations did not die just yet.
After a couple of months, a rumor that the young actress has already given birth at a particular hospital in San Juan made rounds online earning various reactions and comments from netizens.
Until now, both camps of the Kapamilya couple has not addressed the issue.
Meanwhile, fans were excited when she made her TV comeback through the weekend action-themed drama series 24/7 alongside Arjo Atayde. The series premiered on February 23. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown in Luzon, taping for the mentioned series was put on hold.
