Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin continues to stand her ground against online trolls.

In her recent tweet, Locsin slammed a netizen who questioned her stand on mass testing.

Angel also schooled the troll of what “mass” really means.

“Ang lakas ng loob mong magsabi ng common sense eh hindi mo nga alam ang meaning ng ‘mass’ hay. Kung may mass burial ba na gagawin, kasama ka ba sa ililibing bilang buong 110M ng population ang nilalaban mo? Hindi naman, di ba? So anong kinagagalit mo? Kumalma ka.”

Angel’s tweet was in response to the netizen’s insinuation that the actress lacks common sense about mass testing.

Angel is one of the many celebrities who are calling for mass testing in the country as the government failed to deliver on its promise to conduct mass testing staring April 15.

Misquote lang ba to? Kasi hindi ako makapaniwalang hindi tayo nagpre-prepare for mass testing na kailangang-kailangan ngayon pic.twitter.com/PdOsgoAKP1

In one of the press briefings at Malacanang, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that the government still had no plans to carry out mass testing to detect COVID-19 cases and the authorities will leave such efforts in the hands of private sectors.

“As much as possible, ini-increase natin ang capacity ng testing kaya nga we’re aiming na aabot tayo sa 30,000 (a day), pero in terms sa mass testing na ginagawa ng Wuhan na all 11 million (residents), wala pa pong ganyang programa at iniiwan natin ‘yan sa pribadong sektor,” Roque said in a Malacañang press briefing.

Although Roque clarified that what he meant was mass testing in the scale of Wuhan and that they are already implemented targeted testing, mass testing is still needed as it is more targeted and more extensive.

Angel together with Anne Curtis and other celebrity friends decided to re-launch their Shop and Share project which now aims to raise funds to buy testing kits for COVID-19 mass testing.
