GMA Network will be launching a lot of TV shows just for first quarter of 2014. One of which is “Innamorata,” to be top billed by Max Collins and Luis Alandy for GMA Afternoon Prime.
Upon hearing the title, I googled it and tadah… Aside from being a song written in 1955 and popularized by Dean Martin, in the Philippines, it was used as title for a movie in 1973 starring Victor Wood, Aurora Salve and Ramil Rodriguez. Also, ‘Memorata’ (sounds like Innamorata), a company of shoes, was used last year by ABS-CBN’s hit teleserye “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” (2012) starring Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador.
I don’t think “Innamorata” is a copyrighted title to use in a TV show as title. These are just titles, what’s important is still the story and it’s value. Joining Luis and Max are Jackie Rice, Dion Ignacio, Gwen Zamora and seasoned actors Michael de Mesa and Rita Avila.
