Sultry Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi is one of the celebrities who are, in their own ways, extending their help to the people who are greatly suffering because of the crisis brought by COVID-19 pandemic.
During the live-from-home episode of “Magandang Buhay” last Friday, April 3, the 23-year old star revealed that she can’t stand watching many people starving because they have nothing left to eat while she is comfortable in her abode, that’s why she came up with a drive to help them.
She also admitted that there was a time in her life that she also experienced being poor with nothing to eat. That’s why she knows how hard it is for other people.
Way, way back I’ve been through it kaya alam ko ‘yung nararamdaman.
Alawi believes that the reason why she is continuously blessed is for her to share it with other people, and not just keep the blessings to herself.
“At naisip ko rin na siguro kaya rin ako bini-bless ni God is for me to share the blessing, hindi siya i-keep, ayaw ko siyang i-keep. It’s best to give,” said the sensational vlogger.
Aside from this, Alawi also praised the frontliners who are risking their lives just to save others.
She also gave a few words of advice to the Filipinos who are currently in their houses due to enhanced community quarantine by saying, “Sa mga Team Bahay natin, tiis-tiis lang and I’m sure malalampasan natin. Marami na tayong pinagdaanan na mas matindi. Isa lang itong pagsubok and kaya natin. Let’s unite as one. Magsama-sama tayo.”

In her recent vlog on YouTube, Alawi announced that whatever her “Car wash Girl” video will earn will be donated in the form of relief goods.
On March 26, she posted photos of herself together with her mother and her sister Mona repacking the goods that they will be donating. She also encouraged others to help no matter how big or small the help can be.
On Instagram, she wrote, “Pasensya na kayo sa itsura namin. I am encouraging everybody to help. maliit man yan o malaki, ang importante ay tumulong tayo.”
