During the contract signing of Arnell Ignacio with Viva Artist Agency, he was asked about his opinion regarding the controversial appointing of Mocha Uson as the Deputy Executive Director of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Unsurprisingly, Arnell praised Mocha for her good intentions for the government despite the numbers of haters trying to point out her mistakes.
Arnell stated: “Instead of trying to figure out what’s wrong, kung ano bang maitutulong na positive ni Mocha. Mocha unang-una pinakikingan ng maraming tao, eto lang ang isa lang ang hindi mo maipipintas kay Mocha ang kanyang intensyon, lagi lang ‘yan ikagaganda, kung paano tatakbo ‘yung government. Mas ma-recommend ko diyan, you get in touch with her and let’s link kaysa gibain.”
Dealing with bashers
In the same interview, Arnell stated that when dealing with bashers, he always asks himself, what is the goal and what could be the benefits out of those hate comments. For him, the current state of the Philippines against the COVID-19 is not the perfect time to set someone on fire.
“Tignan mo each we bash, ako lagi kong tinatanong what is the goal then what fruits do we harvest from attacking each other? Sa panahon ngayon mayrong virus, meron tayong common enemy, this is isn’t time na tayo ay maghiwa-hiwalay. Saka si Mocha, sa personality niya mabait siya, iba kasi ‘yung nagsasalita.”
Contrary to Arnell’s statement on Mocha’s personality, Ogie Diaz lambasted Mocha and stated that she was making a living through spreading fake news.
