After a long time, Sofia Andres has once again responded to a netizen who criticized her attitude towards a Grab Food driver.
A netizen with an IG username thewanderersoul advice Sofia to understand the grab drivers for consumers like her has someone to buy and deliver food and beverages. She should have gone out of the venue and meet the driver or if it’s for a surprise at least have someone to accept the deliver.
Thewanderersoul adviced: “GURL UNDERSTAND THE DRIVERS @grab_ph OKAY. They are not like us that has someone with them that can hold the food/drinks throughout the ride. You should have gone out and get it yourself if it is for a surprise/special occasion! Gosh.
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star did not hesitate and respond that she was at work and she couldn’t meet the driver at the drop off point. She also emphasized that it was the responsibility of the grab driver to take care of it.
Sofia responded: “Why are you so mad? I’m at work and sadly I really couldn’t make it to my mom’s & that’s why I called grab. Isn’t their responsibility to take care of it? And GURL if you’re mad at me, feel free to unfollow.”
In response to Sofia, the netizen shared her experience with a grab driver who accidentally spilled the drink she ordered and about to cry, but she chose not to blame the driver. Moreover, the netizen stressed out that people like Sofia who doesn’t appreciate the efforts of the others just to make their lives convenient must do everything on their own.
With all the traffic, and hustle holding the orders while driving a motorbike is more than anyone can endure just to make ends meet, and they don’t deserve to receive a single rating star for a public figure like Sofia.
Apparently here in the Philippines or anywhere in the world, when you order in food delivery service provider like Grab Food for someone, you should have at least provide the driver of the receiver’s number, or have someone to accept the order if it’s for a surprise for a friend or family.
It is not actually the responsibility of the grab drivers to reach out to you several times and wait for long.
Grab drivers have done their part by purchasing the food and drinks you’ve ordered and delivered it at your doorstep, and as the consumer, it’s your responsibility to meet the driver at your chosen drop off point and not required them to reach out to you as if they are your employee.
In August 2019, Sofia was threatened by a netizen to file a case against her for false accusation, when the Kapamilya star inform the public that her phone was stolen during Manila Sundance Bazaar. Upon being dragged by the issue, the netizen called out and threaten Sofia she will file a case if it was proven that she was not the suspect for stealing her phone.
Sofia’s last TV series on ABS-CBN was Bagani with Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, since then she only had projects for episodes in Maalala Mo Kaya: Singsing, Wansapanataym: Mr. CUTEpido, and Ipaglaban Mo: Paasa.
