GMA Heart of Asia opens the International Women’s Month with a tribute to strong and empowered women with its newest Korean Drama series ‘The Last Empress’ beginning March 9.
Set in an alternate universe where Korea’s royal family remains intact, Sunny Oh (Jang Na-ra), who is an aspiring musical actress, marries the emperor, Lee Hyuk, while completely oblivious of what she signed up for.
Sunny Oh will then be involved in a series of conflicts such as palace power struggle and a mysterious murder that will threaten their monarchy. In her quest to find true happiness and love, she will develop feelings towards their bodyguard, William, who has his own agenda against the royal family.
