Beautederm’s newest ambassador Darren Espanto was in the hot seat with Allan Diones that led him to reveal his past love interests.
For him, falling in love is part of growing up and honestly, he’s grateful that his parents are supportive when it comes to his love life.
“Yeah, it’s part of growing up rin, my parents are supportive naman as long as alam nila na matino ung kino-court kong babae. My parents are funny, kasi kahit di ko sabihin alam nila kung sino, biglang sasabihin nila ‘oh bakit di mo ininvite si ano.”
One of his past love interests is actually an artist of GMA Network, no other than Kyline Alcantara.
Unfortunately, they have decided to remain friends and supportive of whoever they chose to love next. According to Darren, they decided to part ways since they were both young at that time and they were still confused about which path to take.
“Kyline and I are very close now, basta. Masasabi ko lang yung mga fans talagang very alam nila, sasabihin nila pag meron eh. Kyline and I are now friends. Kami ni Kyline, we’re enjoying each other’s friendship din now and I feel like it’s better that way. Saka very supportive po kami sa love life ng isa’t-isa.
“Di naman, I feel like, kasi when you’re a kid, you don’t really know what you really want yet in life. I feel like it’s better for me, for everyone I’ve dated in the past, mas matured na kami ngayon, mas alam na namin yun gusto namin.”
Moreover, Darren’s way of courting the girl he admires is still the traditional way, where he must also court the parents.
He continued: “Para po sa akin I feel like it’s better talaga na you guys started off as friends, ‘di yung natipuhan mol ang kaya niligawan mo, kasi after niyo mag-break wala na kayong foundation, nothing was there before it. Pag nagustuhan mo na talaga dun mo start courting her, courting her parents.”
Among the women linked to him, Darren denied that he used to date Alexa Ilacad, as the latter seems to be the “aunt” of their circle of friends.
“Ay di si Alexa, parang tita ko ‘yon eh, siya yung tita ng grupo po naming na friendship group. Si Alexa kaka-birthday niya lang so feeling niya sobrang tanda na niya she just acts as the most matured one in the group.”
Meanwhile, Darren confirmed that he had a relationship with Andrea Brillantes but since they were both young, Darren and Andrea parted ways as mutual understanding and not because of Kyle Echarri.
“Yun nga po kasi yung time na ‘yon sobrang bata pa rin kami.”
Despite of being reluctant in sharing some information when it comes to his love life, Darren admitted that Ylona Garcia was one of his past loves but for now he chooses to remain friends with the aspiring Kapamilya singer.
“Kaka-debut niya lang rin, happy birthday to her. Same lang din po, all of us are friends, I’m friends with everyone and I’m happy that there’s no bad blood between anyone. Right now wala po.”
