At the grand press conference of Sommereux (So-Me-Ru) catering business owned by the former Kapamilya couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas, they were able to express their personal opinion regarding ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal issue.
According to Christopher, just knowing the fact that thousands of employees are scared to lose their jobs saddens him.
Nevertheless, Christopher thinks that it would be best to embrace the adversity because no matter how many times you fight for the network’s rights, the government will have the final say on the franchise.
Alam natin yung trabaho nila, may law, let the lawyers do their work, hindi kasi uubra na personal kang komento ng komento kasi lalo lang sasama. Dapat matuto kang harapin kung ano yung nasa harapan mo. Train your mind to see the good in everything, lahat naman may pag-asa.
Gladys recalled her humble beginning at ABS-CBN, when she portrayed the character of Clara in the original Mara Clara with Judy Ann Santos. It was also where she met and fell in love with her now-husband Christopher.
Pero sa nangyayari ngayon, you’ll never know what’s gonna happen in the future, kasi wala pa naman end ng March. I’m hoping for the better, kasi ang daming ma-apektuhan.”
As Angel Locsin, Karen Davila, Korina Sanchez-Roxas, and other celebrities and news anchors are actively supporting the giant network’s franchise renewal, three of the veteran news anchors of ABS-CBN—namely Ted Failon, Anthony Taberna, and Noli de Castro—have remained silent over the past few months.
We are still awaiting the statements of Noli De Castro, Ted Failon, Tunying and other news personalities on the latest move of Calida to void ABS-CBN's franchise.

Wala ba silang pakialam?
