At the movie premiere of Untrue starring Xian Lim and Cristine Reyes, Kapamilya directors showed their support for ABS-CBN’s fight to renew its franchise.
Director Sigrid Bernardo said, “Susuportahan natin ang nakikipaglaban sa ABS CBN and ako no to shutting down of ABS-CBN.”
At the launch of Sinag Maynila Film Festival, filmmakers made their stand on ABS-CBN.
Filmmaker Joselito Altarejos showed his support for the network by proudly wearing his ABS-CBN shirt.
“Ang laban ng isa ay laban ng lahat at lahat tayo ay para sa kalayaan ng pagpapahayag sa pagsuporta.”
Kapuso TV Director Ricky Davao has also given his support for the franchise of ABS CBN.
“My father used to be with ABS, ako ang tagal ko sa ABS, nabuhay ako because of ABS. Sa common tao yung entertainment nila araw araw.
“Malungkot sila hirap, pag-uwi sa bahay on ng TV, teleserye, news. Madaming nagawa para sa Pilipino ang ABS.”
Other Kapuso stars also rallied with ABS-CBN on their franchise troubles. Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes defined all media networks as being part of one industry.

Wearing with their iconic ABS-CBN ribbons, celebrities who lit the candles included Angel Aquino, Shaina Magdayao, Yassi Pressman, Joel Torre, Mark Lapid, and Raymart Santiago.
