Flordeliza star Jolina Magdangal admitted that she was hesitant to work with actress Claudine Barretto.
The last time they work together in a project was when they starred on the TV series Iglot last 2011, which according to her, was terminated due to Claudine’s personal issues.
It can be recalled that the series was only aired for three months.
“Parang nagkaroon ako ng hesitation to work with her, kasi baka may problema siya or noong nagkaroon siya ng problema, parang natapos agad yung show,” Jolina said.
(“It seemed that I had hesitation to work with her because [I] supposed she has issues or the time she got problems, the show got cancelled right away.”)
When the series was cancelled, “Hindi kasi ako sanay nung ganoon, e,” she told PEP.ph. “Ikakasal ako noong time na yun. So, ang dami-dami kong iniisip.Ang thinking ko, professional tayong lahat. Anuman ang problema natin, meron tayong trabaho.”
(“I’m not used to it. I was going to getmarried that time.”)
(“I thought alot of things. My thinking was, we’re all professional. Whatever problems we have, we have works [to do].”)
Jolina Magdangal clarified her statement regarding the matter in an interview with ABS-CBN’s Aquino and Abunda tonight last Tuesday (July 14,2015).
“Nagkaron lang ako ng ano [hesitation] ‘ah okay, kung magkakawork with her, make sure lang na okay siya, gusto ko okay siya’ sa akin kasi, gusto ko mga kasama ko masayahin lang lahat,” said Jolina.
(“I had hesitation [at first], okay if given the chance [I] will be working with her, make sure she’s okay, I want her to be fine working with me ‘coz, I want my co-workers all happy.”)
The two starred also on the hit series “ANG TV” during the 90’s. Last year, the cast of the said program celebrated a mini-reunion, where the two attended.
Now, Jolina said that she is open to work with Claudine again adding that she thinks both of them are matured enough to handle any issues that might arise.
“Nag get together yung Ang TV, nakita ko kung gaano siya ka-sincere to embrace me. Nawala yung hesitation ko to work with her. So if ever na may chance, ba’t hindi. I think we’re grown up naman na harapin ang mga bagay bagay kung magkakaproblema man,” she ended.
