The July 12-episode of Willie Revillame’s comeback variety-game show in GMA 7 abruptly ended even if the segment Willie of Fortune had just started.
It was not known whether the said game continued off the air.
According to a report by the Philippine Star, Wowowin, which premiered on May 10, wasn’t allowed to air beyond the given airtime allotted for the show based on a contract with GMA 7. For the past several episodes, the show always started and ended on time.
We’ve got screencap from their official page some of the comments for July 12 episode:
Moreover, during the particular episode, Revillame allegedly allowed the show to run without a script. After Winwin Marquez and Kylie Padilla’s opening act, Revillame allowed the audience to swarm him. He was also seen giving money, cellphones and TV during the show.
Wowowin marks Revillame’s return to Showbiz and his original network GMA 7. The program is produced by WBR Entertainment Productions, Inc., a company owned by Revillame.
Speaking to GMA 7, Revillame said: “Yung excitement is not for me eh. Doon sa mga tao, especially ‘yung mga kababayan natin na na-miss ko. Sa araw-araw mong ginagawa ‘yun for nine years, ito babalik ka para sa kanila. It’s not para sa akin, ‘yung pagbibigay ng saya, pagbibigay ng konting pag-asa at ‘yung konting tulong, ‘Yun ang gusto kong gawin talaga.”
