In a press conference for the James, Pat and Dave movie, one of the interviewers asked Loisa Andalio if she’s ready to accept more projects related to the romantic comedy genre like what Toni Gonzaga did in the past few years.
The Kapamilya actress humbly said, “Opo.”
Director Theodore Boborol complimented Loisa and Ronnie Alonte for being authentic, and he strongly thinks the authenticity of the couple will make the moviegoers love them more.
Boborol loves the personality of Loisa and Ronnie for being daring, bold, and willing to accept roles without conditions.
Boborol said: “Bihira ‘yung magka-love team na sila na, dati pa nga ‘di pinapaamin na naging sila na nung love team kasi nawawala ung spark. But I guess, ‘yung advantage nila is that ‘yung authenticity nila, there are always being true to themselves. Hindi sila nagpapanggap na konyo ako or sosyal ako, what you see is what you get. I think yun yung magugustuhan ng mga tao sa kanila, there are very authentic to themselves, at the same time they’re very daring and bold when it comes to trying different roles.”
He continued: “I can’t just imagine kung ano pa pwedeng ibigay na roles, because wala silang limitations, hindi sila maarte na ay hindi dapat ganto ‘yung role ko, inosente ako, or dapat hindi ako magmukang masama, wala silang ganon.”
James and Pat and Dave will be Loisa’s first time to be in a leading role in a movie.
In just a matter of six years in the entertainment industry, Loisa has already received some awards:
- People’s Choice for Female Dance Group (with GirlTrend Members) by 29th Global Excellence Awards, 2016
- Most Promising Actresses of the Year (with Maris Racal) given by The 8th TV Series Craze Awards, 2017
- Best Horror/Fantasy Program during the PMPC Star Awards for Television in 2018 for the Wansapanataym: Gelli in a Bottle episode.
Meanwhile, Toni Gonzaga got her biggest break in the industry with her TV ad with Piolo Pascual for Sprite in 2001.
Since then, Toni has produced eight music albums and successfully worked on more than 10 romantic-comedy films with Piolo Pascual, Coco Martin, Vhong Navarro, Sam Milby, John Lloyd Cruz, and Luis Manzano.
