Love of My Life lead actress Carla Abellana was asked about her expected wedding schedule with her co-actor and real-life boyfriend Tom Rodriguez.
The two have been in a romantic relationship for five years now and most fans think that it is now high time for them to tie the knot.
When asked about this, Carla admitted that she is still unsure about this considering that Tom has not popped the question yet.
“Hindi ko po alam. Si Tom po yung tanungin niyo kasi nasa kanya po ang proposal,” she told the press during the Love of My Life mediacon at the 17th Floor Executive Lounge of GMA Network.
But the 33-year-old actress hopes that she will be married in less than three years from now.
“Pero tumatanda na po kami so sana po huwag naman five years or three years from now.Sana po huwag naman.”
Carla said she and Tom are already discussing plans about their marriage though they have not yet gone into details.

“Napag-uusapan naman namin.Hindi lang po talaga namin napag-uusapan nang in detail like yung day, the church, saan ganito, guests. Wala pa kaming napag-uusapang ganon but we know naman po that we want the same thing po, we desire the same thing which is getting married to each other,” she shared.
When asked if a marriage proposal is needed, the Kapuso star then replied with a smile, “Dapat! Dapat po meron aba! Dapat lang kasi siyempre formality po yan eh. Siyempre it involves asking for your parents’ permission, moment po yan sa isang babae po so importante po yon. Dapat po meron.”
There are rumors that the two are now secretly engaged just like newlyweds Mikael Daez and Megan Young who got engaged in 2014. But Carla denied that this was true.
She further disclosed that they already bought a lot where they plan to start construction of their house, probably next year.
Carla was also thankful that she is now part of a new Kapuso series, Love of My Life, alongside Tom.
“Going strong pa rin po. Ito nga po binigyan po kami ng chance maging parte ng isang teleserye ulit kasi matagal na po naming gusto and matagal na rin pong nire-request ng mga fans. Mabuti na lang napagbigyan po.”
Being in love for five years, the actress is proud that their relationship hasn’t been plagued by trust issues.
“Wala po kasi mabait po yang si Tom. Mabait po yan. Ang bisyo lang po niyan eh mga gadgets, mga internet. Wala po akong dapat ipag-alala po,” the actress ended.
Carla and Tom have been constantly asked about their marriage plans since last year. They were also rumored to be live-in partners because Carla often visits him at his condo.
Tom and Carla reportedly started dating each other since they were teamed up in the prime-time series My Destiny in 2014.
