- Liza Soberano almost quit showbiz
- After almost two years, she is back on TV with a teleserye with Enrique Gil
- The ‘Make It With You’ pilot was number one in its timeslot
Liza Soberano admitted she almost quit showbiz while she was in the US last year. She loved the simplicity of life together with Enrique Gil, her boyfriend for five years now, while she was recuperating after surgery and had thought about leaving behind her thriving showbiz career.
Thankfully, Liza returned with a new teleserye ‘Make It With You, which premiered on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida evening block on January 13, replacing Starla.
‘Make It With You’ is the story about two different individuals who, despite having different priorities in life, found love in each other. But after a series of events, they will have to decide whether it’s a love worth choosing.
The pilot episode became the No. 1 TV program in its time slot with 27.4%, drawing nearly double the viewership of its rival show, GMA 7’s ‘The Gift‘ starring Alden Richards, at 14.8% last January 13 according to Kantar Media.

The ‘Make It With You‘ pilot was second overall in the ratings that day, just behind No. 1 ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,‘ with 29.9%.
The series is set in Croatia where lead characters Belinda “Billy” (Soberano) and Gabo (Gil) meet and interact with other Filipinos in the European country.
The mysterious Gabo, an illegal immigrant in Croatia, is forced to live in the streets of Dubrovnik after his caravan gets intercepted by authorities.
Meanwhile, Billy appears to have a more established life there, as she is shown juggling dates professionally. On top of her work with the dating service, she attempts to swindle her matches to take home more than her salary.
