On and off-screen couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre, collectively known as “JaDine”, have been surrounded by breakup rumors.
The reports, which became a trending topic on social media, were immediately denied by JaDine fans who also provided photos as evidence that the popular couple spent their Christmas and New Year holidays together with their respective families and friends.
The rumors started after a PEP.ph article written by Jojo Gabinete said that JaDine had broken up. The article said that Nadine had moved out of the Quezon City home which she shared with James for years.
Besides this, Nadine’s series of cryptic posts on Instagram also fueled rumors about their breakup.
It was in the first week of January when the actress posted a photo of presumably herself wearing a bikini.
She posted, “I can’t be who you want.”
This post was followed by a photo of four people riding surfboards out at sea which was captioned: “no questions. just go with it.”

Her recent post showed her staring out the night view of a condo or hotel unit which said, “for good reason, lost all of my love” further fueled speculations.
Just recently, Nadine finally broke her silence about her alleged breakup with James and called out a renowned columnist.
Tagging both Ricky Lo and the Philippine Star, the actress posted on her Instagram stories,”First off, that was so low. Second, none of what you said was true and it is never okay to use someone’s mental situation/tragic past just to prove a point. Mental illness is a very sensitive matter.”
She added: “And last, you think you know so much about me, you can’t even get my last name right. Anu na, 2020 na!”
James has made no statement about the issue yet.
