In an exclusive interview by Philstar.com, Gerald Anderson answered what he really felt about the brouhaha that surrounded his breakup with Bea Alonzo.
“It was overblown, nakakalungkot, because there are many bigger and real issues in the country kaysa sa love life ko.”
The actor felt sad about how the breakup was exaggerated and was given a bigger spotlight instead of other issues.
“I think there are many other real, serious problems kaysa sa breakup namin, nakakalungkot. The Philippines has suffered from typhoons, earthquakes, food problems, etc., hopefully their attention can focus on those issues.”
The breakup was reportedly because of a third party, namely Julia Barretto. Julia then faced bashing from a number of netizens, the negative publicity even causing her to allegedly lose an endorsement deal with her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia.
Twitter user @dakilangduca tweeted a screenshot of how bashers were affecting Julia’s endorsements.
But the tweet afterwards was taken down.
